Turquoise can be your blue sky, deep blue sea, or lush treetops.
I played with some turquoise palettes to get properly acquainted.
I sketched some kids standing outside a school bus using a blue-turquoise Neocolor II.
It was so much fun that I did it all over again with pencil, then used ultramarine turquoise watercolor as my blue. I love a primary palette!
I imagined what a day would be like for one of the kids in the photo, and drew it in panels.
Here’s how that went:
Prompts:
Add white to turquoise paint for dreamy skies.
Deepen it with graphite (I love the Artgraf & Caran d’ache RGB sticks)
Mix with yellow to make lush greens.
Use it with red and yellow for a turquoise twist on a primary palette.
Gather up all your turquoise tools and swatch them!
