Meditative Drawing Session

Drawing slow animals with Creative Cocoon Art Club

Massive thanks to

for leading us in the dreamiest observation exercise! It was so nice to slow down and look deeply before drawing.

I’ve grown to love spending more time on a drawing and am excited to try more observation meditation! It feels like a perfect way to release any sort of attachment an outcome, so you can focus on the enjoyment. 1

That brings me to another cycling instructor quote that applies perfectly to drawing: “How much fun you’re having is a good measure of success.” - Hannah Corbin.

It was lovely to hear what

said about how we can sharing our work can help others.

I loved

’s question about choosing SIX Inktense colors and I have chosen mine officially:

  1. Mustard

  2. Poppy Red

  3. Golden Yellow

  4. Lagoon

  5. Dark Aquamarine

  6. Red Oxide

Oh gosh, is that six!? What about Madder Brown and Deep Indigo? This game is hard!
