I took a solo trip to the UK last week!

Day 1

I met up with wonderful

for brunch and some exploring. and Sarah joined us at the Pavillion and we wandered around to some shops, the beach, and then had dinner. It was the Saturday dreams are made of!

Day 2

I woke up in Cambridge.

Lovely Hana and Alice joined me for coffee before meeting

. A jolly man named Neil whisked us away in his purple Volkswagon to take us to the magnificent Colour Tutor Workshop. We spent the day doing brain-bending color exercises, with breaks for coffee and brownies. It gave me so much life! Color inspires my practice so much, and I loved learning to use it in a more considerate, sophisticated way.

So fun meeting Hana, Alice, and Jenny!

Days 3, 4, & 5

Sarah Dyer started her workshop by opening a bag full of every art material you could dream of, Mary Poppins style. The next few days were full of experimentation, drawing from life, and learning. It was so good that I signed up for her retreat! I think there’s one spot left and if you wanna snag it!

I’m still basking in the fuzzy, warm vibes from this trip. My ideas cup runneth over and I can’t wait to share my secret plans coming up! EEEK! More on that later!

Today we have a drawing session with the amazing Nathalia Velásquez!

She and her art are both as lovely and charming as can be. I can’t wait to draw restaurants with y’all!
