You’re doing great and the course looks fantastic! Feel free to drop a link here so folks can check it out! I’m also very excited about the DOG drawing session you’re having soon! 💐🦮💕✨
This is a lovely idea Beth, that reflects your kind heart ❤️ i am very proud that I ended the 100 days project this year with my project of little paper cutouts and recently started a new adventure with linocut and making stamps! 😊
Ooooh lino cut stamps sounds delightful! I really loved your papercut 100-day project. 100 days of anything takes so much dedication! Well done, Teresa! 👏😬
I don’t know if it’s a milestone but I’m going to try my first live drawing session with Beth. I’m deaf so I’m not sure how it will go but I’m excited. I just have to work out the time zone difference to uk time.
Beth thank you for adding me I’m doing this for mental health and pain management some days are hard but I try and do something. And when I post on instagram and get just one comment in means so much. You can find me on instagram and see my good /bad/ cock ups @margoslingartforfun
So thank you again I look forward to seeing everyone’s work 🤗❤️🤗
I'm so glad you're here, Mary! And honored that you're attending on Friday as your first live session! I look forward to your feedback.
I will post all the instructions in Zoom session chat, so you'll have the image times and information. I'll share a screenshot of where to find that in a chat thread for you and anyone else who might be new to Zoom. Are you reading this on the Substack app or do you usually use a browser to look at these posts?
I’m thinking about more visuals here in time for summer hols and what that might bring - maybe some more video too - a toolkit released over a few days... eeeek! Well done everyone!
A painting I completed last year in a painting class was honored during the 37th annual League for Innovation International Student Art Awards, which highlights the best artwork by community college students in North America. Woot woot!
Thank you Beth! I have been doing a creative practice each day for the past 22 days! I have been exploring drawing from photos, doodle designs that give me peace of mind, and continue to play with paints and colors.
After a few unmotivated weeks I'm on a super productive streak :) I've finished a couple of new illustrations, sketched a banner for #kidlitart and opened my online print store!
That's incredible! I think weeks like that can be like springboards toward creative breakthroughs sometimes. Way to go! Feel free to share your online print store link here so we can all shop!
This is so so lovely! Thank you Beth for making this space and for modelling celebrating small wins - I'm terrible at that and constantly need to battle my internal voice around not doing enough or not being quick enough. I just managed to post my first post on Substack and am excited to keep going, really hoping I can practice what I preach and post the not so good drawings as well as the slightly better ones! Also managed to finally make progress cleaning out my spider webby shed yesterday which will eventually be great for more equipment storage - I tried to imagine myself as a short Welsh Indiana Jones and rewarded myself with a mint choc chip ice cream cone afterwards!
I’ve just had feedback from Bloomsbury on the three rough spreads i sent in for my asssignment - and they really liked them. Gave me some great suggestions for development, and said they look very French - which is a huge compliment!
On 29th July,2023 I took a leap of faith and started my Patreon Page- https://www.patreon.com/Shivam_Choudhary. And sending you a lot of love and gratitude for becoming my first ever Patron, wohoooo!!!💜
