Love this. I need to make more time to read your Substack Beth. It’s tough keeping up with socials and life 😂 And Kids…..oh and pets 😂

I know what you mean! It’s a delicate balance. 😄 I usually write shorter posts and put more into the videos. But this silly tree in the backyard had a different plan for my Substack this week!

You always mention this practice of returning to quickly done sketches, I must try that some time!

Oh yeah, let me know what you think of it! I usually a sketchbook near the couch, so it’s easy to return to it when I’m in the chill zone. 😄

I love the Barkeologist SO MUCH!!! My top tip is use a bigger brush! Scaling up always helps me keep it loose and energetic. And of course, fully agree about the swatching!

I love your attitude Beth, it keeps me hopeful that I too can receive so much joy from my work. I am always worried on what to create. Will I think of something, will it come to me?

I too feel inspired by your spirit of experimentation and finding what gives you joy. You and lots of those talented Brits talk about sketching mindlessly (or maybe not so mindlessly?) on the sofa while watching TV and I wish I could figure out how to do that! It sounds like so much fun. Do you sketch what you see on TV?
