Capturing their personalities on paper keeps me excited to open a sketchbook.
This love of drawing animals wasn’t born overnight; many tiny moments of sketching them created an enthusiasm that I’m proud to share.
Animals never overthink, judge, or doubt themselves.
This is the energy I like to bring to my personal art practice, so I can let go, trust myself, take risks, and have fun! Think of a lion’s approach to a blank page -- FIERCE!
Let’s spend 2026 observing and drawing furry, finned, scaly, and feathered friends together.
We’ll focus on a different animal type each month, with live sessions, demos, and inspiration sprinkled in to keep your pencil moving and grooving.

I think badgers are a good place to start with animal pictures they’re all sorts of expressive.
It will be the Year of the Horse so I'm eager to try and draw those.
