Today I challenge you to draw something you dislike.
Sketchbooks can be scary or something we push to the bottom of our priority list. The blank page, self-inflicted style rules, and comparison can make drawing feel daunting.
It's easier to loosen up when you're not worrying about style rules, the final outcome, or who might see it.
I like to draw things I dislike to warm up, so I don't care if the results aren’t beautiful. I despise arugula. Drawing it was actually enjoyable, but you'll never catch me eating it.
Disclaimer: I don't recommend drawing politicians.
I share more about my process on Patreon, so feel free to check that out if you’d like.
Have fun!
