I’m glad you’re here. You've made me feel very much at home on Substack.

Checking in here has felt like a visit to my sweet grandma's house as she’s pulling a sheet of cookies out of the oven. Other social platforms can feel like the never-ending line at the DMV while your inbox overflows.

Since we're all here together on a mission, I'd better give you a proper introduction.

Here are a few things to know about me:

• I'm an illustrator who loves drawing animals.

• My favorite sandwich is peanut butter and banana.

• I have a journalism degree.

• Drawing is the activity I look forward to each day.

• If I wasn't an illustrator, I'd like to be a zoo keeper.
