First half of the year was fantastic. I got to travel to UK for 3 weeks in May. Before that I recovered from my breast reduction and pathology found cells that could turn into cancer so we caught all that super early and I feel very grateful! My love of reading and art took hold again after 2 decades of minimal inspiration!
The second half of the year I would like to continue my art and reading. Go to my sister’s more. Go visit my mom in California. Celebrate my youngest 21st with her. And just continue on this magical, spiritual, artistic path I am finding myself on. :)
Wow, Cat! That sounds so intense and I'm so glad you're on the other side of it. Thank you so much for sharing. Cheers to an inspiring, healthy rest of 2026. <3
My first half has been so good. I took a leap of faith and did my first 100 Day Project and I finished it on time and best of all I got so much from it. My husband and I did some camping and relaxed more deeply. For the second half there is some decluttering to do, more camping to experience and more creativity to realize. 🙏💗
Congrats on finishing the 100 Day Project, Sabrina! And I love your intentions for the rest of the year too. I go through phases of intense decluttering and always feel so refreshed after!
Hi Beth, thanks so much for sharing this. It’s all so true. I’m sorry to hear your retreat got cancelled. That’s really hard and I hope that when you’re able to plan another one that everything goes as planned!
The first half of my year has been super tough honestly! But you’re right, leaning into the good moments and not letting the weight of the negative stuff get us down. I’m finding myself lately feeling like I’m coming out of some sort of dark cloud but it’s not quite gone! Almost though. I just have to concentrate on my sweet pup & husband & art and all of the other positive things I have in my life :)
Thanks for the reminder Beth. I'm generally a pretty happy person with a positive outlook because of my yoga and meditation practice. I try to be grateful for everything, even the negative things, because they always give me an opportunity to learn and grow. The first half of my year has been ok, nothing really exciting happening, just trying to establish routines of yoga, exercise and art. We just got a new puppy, so the next 6 months are going to be a fun ride!!!
My husband and I took a week off for a vacation in May. First part of the week we went away, just the two of us-no kids (they are young adults now)
I have been wanting to see the wild ponies of Chincoteague. So we spent a few days there. It was wonderful. We celebrated our 30 wedding Anniversary. It was lovely.
We had a family wedding to attend at the end of the week.
I feel you about the art retreat Beth 💔 I had a retreat planned for the Cotswolds, and someone had to cancel because of health problems....so it got cancelled too, and after the cancellation, it turns out 3 more people had wanted to sign up, which would have made the retreat a go 😭
But I'm not going to feel defeated, because my weekend retreat in the Netherlands in the fall has reached its minimum signups, so I'm so excited for that! And I'm planning a new retreat for France in the Spring. So there were a few letdowns, but the biggest win for me is that I started properly taking care of myself this year and that I'm putting myself (and my family) first. I'm so much better for it!
So I'm looking forward to the second half of the year, where everything hopefully feels more balanced, and I'm going to prioritise fun.
You bet! I hope the remaining half of 2026 bring greatness your way.

Your pup and husband are so fortunate to have you, Kelly! Keep leaning into those good moments and that cloud will pass. <3
Your email blasts make me smile. Thanks for sharing.
Reading your words made me smile. Thank you so much, Dominique! <3

Something Good: I attended a photography retreat and had the best time exploring two states I had never been to before!
Second Half: I would like to put more energy into my art and less on feeling stressed about work.
