Great highlights! I particularly liked the one advising us to always carry art supplies with us. I do try to take my glue and scissors everywhere. Thanks for sharing and congrats on the interview!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
It was a wonderful interview, Beth! I always carry around a little sketchbook and pouch of art supplies- you never know when a tiny pocket of time might open! Trying to stay off my phone/ social media is a huge one too. Thanks for all the great advice you gave! 💕
What a delight to see that you and Giuseppe were going to talk. I LOVE both of you. I always look forward to Illustration Department Podcast because it is so calming. And whenever read and hear you here on Substack, I am always inspired to create. I would never cover up your sweet voice and Giuseppes calming voice by listening to you both on 2x speed. I want to savor your words and take notes!
You keep me drawing and creating too, so it's wonderful to know I do the same for you, Martha! 👏🥹 And I agree, Giuseppe's got a way of making everyone feel like this thing is gonna work out for us all.
Out of habit I always carry something to draw with, and have done most of my life, but haven't actually drawn anything in years besides once or twice !!! I should remember and take the time, even if it's a five minute doodle

Thanks for the shout-out, Beth! Keep up the good work!
My pleasure! Thank you for the real, encouraging convo and all you do to help us illustrators. Can't wait to hear who you're chatting with next week!
Oh I look forward to hearing this!
! I always carry drawing stuff - even a tiny watercolour set - but all too often get in a slump where I can’t make myself do anything…
Me, too!
Hooray, Susan! 👏 I probably only draw 20 - 30% of the times I'm out, but that habit of carrying something every time is GOLD!
Yay for carrying drawing stuff! Even if you don't draw, you're prepared every time and that deserves a round of applause! 👏😸

Will be fun to listen to Beth - Congrats! Great tips to keep us arting too. Love your gorilla hang outs🦍
These are such good tips (unshockingly, knowing you)
That means the world coming from you, Haley Weaver, the incredible art advice giver! 😆
Great advice Beth. I’m excited to listen to the podcast when I get home from work!!
Yaaaay! You are too kind. Let me know what you think! Are you drawing in any sessions this weekend?
These are great pieces of advice. Loved the interview too!
Great interview Beth!
Thank you sooo much lovely Hippo! <3
I hope you are doing fine Beth friend ❤️
These gorillas are the cutest

The fact that you're still carrying them is a huge win, even if you only draw once in a blue moon! 💙
