Drawing Creepy with Kyle
Prepare to be inspired by character designer extraordinaire, Kyle Beaudette!
Do you know Kyle Beaudette? He draws creepy, intriguing characters who make you wonder “Is this someone I met in a nightmare? No, it can’t be, because they also have the charm of Matilda.”
Using a Micron pen and watercolor, he fills huge pages of Canson paper with characters.
It’s riveting to watch Kyle riff out characters without being precious or fussy.
I particularly enjoy his experimental approach. He says he usually doesn’t know what he’s drawing until he starts, then sees what shows up.
