Yay! Did you like them? Are they as smooth as butter like everyone says they are? I'm going to DM you to request your mailing address so I can send you a sticker!
I did like them! They're definitely smooth... but I've switched back to mainly using my Faber-Castell Pitt Graphite Matt pencils, which seem to smudge less! (Smudging drives me bonkers.)
Man, I'm the 3rd comment. I want a snazzy introvert sticker for my sketchbook! Do you mean picked up as in bought, or picked up as in used?! Bought= 10 pack of liquid ink refills for my Ecoline markers. Used= Ecoline, Tombow, colored pencils all this morning while doing Melissa Martin's Art Hang Party! jewelry edition ❤
Sure thing! I love putting it together every week. It's motivates me to get my work done so I can join and draw for fun! I'm excited to get to do a lot of them this week. 😁
Thanks for adding us to the list Beth! and the last art supply I picked up is Pan Pastel - it was to be able to use pastels without messy hands, but then my order came in and it said "causes cancer" on the label and because I share my space with my kid, I haven't opened them...
I'm conflicted about soft pastels too for the same reason, Pauline! I love the ones at the art shop here but am worried about breathing in carcinogens. I've read somewhere that the Unison and Sennelier brands don't have toxic ingredients but am not sure what that means. I hardly used the Pan pastels at all because I have trouble keeping up with the little applicator. 😆
The Pan Pastel has an ASTM logo on it, so it's also supposed to be non-toxic, but I guess when something goes into the air it is damaging in other ways. I've googled it a bit and basically a lot of people say if "you use common sense" (so for instance not blow it off your paper and work vertically) you minimise the risks. But I guess "common sense" also is widely interpretable so I'm not sure haha
Really looking forward to meeting you Beth!!!
Likewise! 🥳
The last art supply I picked up were Blackwing pencils! (I wanted to see what all the fuss is about.)

Picked up in any form works for me! I'm DEFINITELY doing Melissa's Art Hang Party this week while my husband's at band practice.
Blackwing pencils!
You're in good company! Heather Hui used those last too! 😄
And SAVE! Such a plethora of generosity and creativity x
Hope to see you in some of these sessions! 😄
I love a good round up! Thanks for curating this collection for us ✨🙏🏻

Than you for this roundup! I find so many cool people and things through it!
I was holding a Polychromos about 10 minutes ago 😅
Thank you Beth!!!
