I agree yellow ochre looks great with so many colors! I really love it with any shade of blue.

It's like the "little black dress" of colors!

Beth,

This was such a fun stroll through colors with potential and art materials experimentation. You share in such an authentic way and I really appreciate this. I look forward to your next video post.

Mixing colors is something that I could do all day and seeing which ones become unexpected happy artwork mates never gets old! Having a sketchbook dedicated to color exploration, is a very helpful tool for me in the studio for reference. I use Holbein Acryla Gouache and my latest favorites to add just a tiny dab to my colors are Raw Sienna, Jaune Brilliant, and Naples Yellow. Thinking of you Beth, they can make some awesome greens when added to the blue family!

That's such a great idea to devote a sketchbook to color mixing experimentation, Coco! I bet yours is full of fun color combos and inspiration! I'm starting to really enjoy raw sienna in my gouache palette! I love the Talens Naples yellow soooo much. It reminds me of cake batter! Some of the Naples Yellows (like Windsor & Newton and Liquitex) are a bit more nacho cheese-colored, which I don't mind haha. They all have their places!

I gotta do some kind of fun live session where we just explore colors. It seems so fun! I'll do some thinking and see what I come up with!
