Is Monday a good day to write on Substack? My brain usually feels super scrambled on Fridays. Writing isn’t optimal during those times and I want my writing here to be more relaxed, so if Mondays work for you, then that’s what I’ll try to do.
After reading (and loving) Wired to Create, I realized I needed to stop forcing ideas out of my brain when I’m stuck. It’s not always possible to take a break in the middle of a project, but sometimes, I really can’t afford to not step away and reset my brain.
Here are 10 activities that usually work for me.
Fold clothes
Cuddle pets
Do some dishes
Take a shower
Eat a snack
Practice Yoga
Meditate
Draw in the nearest sketchbook (usually my pets or photos in my camera roll)
Watch an episode of 90-Day Fiance
Walk a dog
